CBS News poll: Over half of Americans approve of President Trump’s deportation program

Lawmakers are divided over President Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard in southern California over the protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids. A new CBS News poll shows a majority of Americans approve of Mr. Trump’s deportation program, but nearly half believe the administration is trying to deport more people than expected.
